Deuteronomy 4:4

"that thou mightest fear Jehovah thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged."

"that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy grain, and thy new wine, and thine oil."

"Is his lovingkindness clean gone for ever? Doth his promise fail for evermore?"

"For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of Jehovah, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that Jehovah may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him."

"For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live for ever,"

"Be not ye therefore partakers with them;"

"even all the nations shall say, Wherefore hath Jehovah done thus unto this land? what meaneth the heat of this great anger?"
