Deuteronomy 32:33

"For this child I prayed; and Jehovah hath given me my petition which I asked of him:"

"They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains, and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters play the harlot, and your brides commit adultery."

"Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, And taketh it even out of the thorns; And the snare gapeth for their substance."

"He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the holm-tree and the oak, and strengtheneth for himself one among the trees of the forest: he planteth a fir-tree, and the rain doth nourish it."

"and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that it is I, Jehovah, who call thee by thy name, even the God of Israel."

"Woe unto him that saith unto a father, What begettest thou? or to a woman, With what travailest thou?"

"Thou seest many things, but thou observest not; his ears are open, but he heareth not."
